Laid off, where do I go from here?

Well it's been since May since I posted on here. I had intended to post on this blog as much as possible but that sort of fell through the cracks in the last few months. My day job has sort of taken over for a while. First I quit my job of seven years at Elite Sportswear because I needed a change of scenery. Basically I was unhappy there and wanted to work for a new company and meet new people. Before I left Elite I was offered a job at Gateway Screen and Press or otherwise known as Print Machine. Print Machine is the retail part of the business. I was there for a month and a half before being laid off. This is the first time I've ever been laid off and it's a new experience for me. Whenever I've had a long period of time off work it's been because I was on vacation, not looking for a new job.

So where do I go from here? I am not sure yet. At this point I am entertaining all new options. Whether it be going to work at another screen printing and awards shop or a new career entirely. I find the idea of a new career entirely to be very intriguing. One thing that highly appeals to me is getting more involved with the arts again. After High School I went to Grant MacEwan for Fine Art and then from there moved on to graphic design and illustration but at this time I am starting to hear the call of Fine art again and would love the chance to work in the arts. Whether it be at an art gallery or even an art store. Basically anything that allows me to work in a creative atmosphere. Whether it's creating art myself or helping others to create art and be inspired by art.

Where do I go from here?  I am not sure but I can't wait to find out! I am sure it will be an exciting time for me!  Time to find out what's out there waiting for me.

Here is some art I've done recently!
